Alpha Composite Decking and Fencing the ("product(s)")
You must register your ‘product(s)’ with us within 45 days of delivery, otherwise you will not be able to claim through this Limited Residential Product Warranty in the future.
You can register your ‘product(s) through our website alphadecking.co.uk by completing and submitting the product warranty registration form, answering some questions, and uploading some photos of your installed product. If you do not do this within 45 days of delivery of your product(s), you will not have the benefit of this Limited Residential Product Warranty in the future.
Alpha Decking Ltd (“Alpha Decking”) warrants to the original purchaser (“Purchaser”) that, for the period of fifteen (15) years from the date of original purchase for a residential application, under normal use and service conditions that: Alpha Composite Decking, the ("product(s)"), shall be free from material defects in workmanship and materials, and shall not split, splinter, rot or suffer structural damage from termites or fungal decay. If a Purchaser discovers a defect in the product within the warranty period, the Purchaser shall notify Alpha Decking in writing to the following email address: info@alphdecking.co.uk and follow the procedure set out here within.
For the purposes of this Product Warranty, the “product(s)” does not include the screws, clips and other accessories which are ancillary to the wood-plastic composite product (“accessories ”). Accordingly, this Product Warranty does not include or extend to the accessories.
We will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred with respect to the removal of any or all of the defective Product or the installation of the replacement product and materials, including but not limited to the cost of labour, haulage and delivery.
For the purposes of this warranty, a “residential application” refers to an installation of the Alpha Decking
product on an individual private residence, whereas a “commercial application” refers to any installation of
the Alpha Decking product other than on an individual residence, such as a private business.
All warranties on this page are still subject to the schedules, restrictions, limitations and exclusions explained below:

Warranty transfer:
For residential applications the warranty is not transferable or assignable and is provided only to the original purchaser of the product(s) in question registering the initial warranty.
Exclusions to Warranty:
Alpha Decking does not warrant against and is not responsible for, and no implied warranty shall be deemed to cover, any product failure, product malfunction, or damages attributable to:
(1) improper installation of product(s) and/or failure to abide by any point stated within any of Alpha Decking’s installation guidelines, including but not limited to improper gapping, heights and faults/damage due to improper handling or storage of the product;
(2) improper height, applicable to all fencing product(s) where used to create a full fence bay using Alpha Decking 100mm x 100mm composite posts. If the maximum fence height exceeds 203cm where a trellis is not used or 213cm where a trellis is used in any part of a connected fencing length/run, the entirety of the fencing length/run shall not be covered by warranty.
(3) use of the product(s) beyond normal use and service conditions, or in an application not recommended by Alpha Decking’s guidelines and local building codes and products which were installed in violation of any applicable building codes;
(4) movement, distortion, collapse or settling of the ground or the supporting structure on which the product(s) are installed;
(5) any act of god; including but not limited to flooding, hurricanes, earthquakes, lightning, or storms (where wind gusts exceed Gale Force 9 on the Beaufort wind scale for fence heights above 183cm, or where wind gusts exceed Gale Force 10 on the Beaufort wind scale for fence heights up to 183cm), environmental conditions (such as air pollution, mold, mildew, etc.), staining from foreign substances (such as dirt, grease, oil, etc.), or normal weathering (defined as exposure to sunlight, weather, and atmosphere that may cause any coloured surface to gradually fade, chalk, or accumulate dirt or stains);
(6) variations or changes in colour of the product(s);
(7) improper handling, storage, abuse or neglect of product(s) by Purchaser, the transferee or third parties;
(8) any products that have not been paid in full;
(9) ordinary wear and tear;
(10) products damaged by a malfunction of any accessory products not provided by Alpha Decking with which the products are used or combined.
No person or entity is authorised by Alpha Decking to make and Alpha Decking shall not be bound by any statement or representation as to the quality or performance of the product(s) other than as contained in this warranty. This warranty may not be altered or amended except in a written instrument signed by Alpha Decking and Purchaser.
Alpha Decking installation guides are designed as a quick and simple guide. They may not cover every installation scenario envisaged. Since each installation is unique, the installation method used and/or the actual installation and its actual performance are the sole responsibility of the installer.
Alpha Decking recommends that all designs be reviewed by a licensed architect, or engineer before installation. Please ensure your plan and/or design meets building regulations and permission before you begin installation.
If you are unsure of the best practices, please use suitably qualified personnel to prevent injuries or accidents.
The exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages is not allowed in some nations, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from nation to nation. Consumers have legal rights under applicable national legislation governing the sale of consumer goods. This warranty does not affect those rights.
Claim Procedure:
Every claim under this warranty shall be deemed waived unless it meets the conditions set forth in this warranty. The limit of Alpha Decking's liability for any breach of this warranty, whether due to negligence, breach of warranty, strict liability, or any other theory, shall apply only to defective products as determined under the terms of this warranty.
Making a Claim:
You must tell us within 5 working days of an incident happening that you have a claim. It must be in writing, either by email or by recorded post to the following address: Email: info@alphadecking.co.uk. Your claim must include the following:
a. your full name and email address associated with the purchase
b. original proof of purchase of the Product
c. detailed statement explaining the defect
d. date of installation
e. date of event/incident/failure
f. address of installation
g. company name and address of installers of the Product if applicable
h. photographs of defect
i. photographs of the installation
j. photographs of the failed Product in situ
Alpha Decking reserves the right to request additional information in connection with the warranty claim.
If there is any dispute over a claim of alleged defective products, Alpha Decking reserves the right to appoint a suitable representative, if deemed necessary, to inspect the products, and the decision of such representative shall be final and binding. Expenses incurred in appointment of a suitable representative may be charged to the purchaser at cost. If products are proved to be defective, any expenses will be refunded.
If Alpha Decking determines the Purchaser’s claim is valid upon confirmation by an authorised Alpha Decking representative of the defect, Alpha Decking’s sole responsibility shall be, at its option, to either replace the defective item or refund the portion of the purchase price paid by Purchaser for such defective item, as set out below (not including the cost of its initial installation or delivery). This warranty shall not cover and Alpha Decking shall not be responsible for costs and expenses incurred with respect to the removal of defective products or the installation of replacement materials, including but not limited to labour and delivery. The foregoing remedies are the SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR BREACH OF ANY WARRANTY.
Severability:
If any of the provisions in this warranty are determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the validity, legality, and enforceability of the remaining provisions of this warranty shall not be affected or impaired in any way.

If Alpha Decking is providing replacement materials, it may elect to replace the percentage listed below of product(s);
