Composite Fencing Calculator FAQs

What is Composite Fencing?

Composite fencing, also known as WPC fencing (Wood Plastic Composite), is a modern creative alternative to traditional timber fencing. It’s made from a blend of recycled wood fibres sourced from post industrial pulp and high quality PE (polyethylene) plastics. This combination creates a strong, durable material that replicates the natural beauty of wood while offering superior weather resistance and minimal maintenance. Unlike timber, composite fence boards will not rot, warp, splinter, or require yearly painting or staining, making them a long term, eco friendly choice for modern gardens.

Is everything I need included within your sets?

Concrete posts sets - yes, all our sets designed for concrete posts include everything you need to build and complete one full fence panel/bay. This includes all the slats you'll need for your chosen height, any trellis, a top and bottom rail, u-channel inserts for the concrete posts and insert caps for those inserts.

Can composite fence panels be cut to size for smaller width panels?

Yes, they sure can! Our composite fence panel slats have a honeycomb structure throughout which allows you to cut them down to any required width without compramising their structural integrity. They can be easily cut to the required size using your usual woodworking tools but we generally recommend using a mitre (chop) saw for ease and precision.

Is composite fencing more expensive than timber fencing?

While the initial cost can be higher, homeowners save money long-term thanks to low maintenance – no staining, painting, or panel repairs required. In addition to this, our composite fencing carries a 15 year warranty protection.

What does Alpha Decking's 15 year warranty on composite fencing cover?
